Checking Accounts

Opening a checking account is FREE at Members Financial FCU, with benefits that fit each members needs.

Money Market Accounts

To open a Money Market account at the Credit Union, there is a minimum balance of $1,000.00. To earn the annual percentage yield disclosed, you must maintain average daily balance of $2,000.00 for each day of the dividend period.

For current service fee charges please see the fee schedule. Any day that your balance is over the required minimum balance you will earn that annual percentage yield disclosed for the Money Market account.

During any calendar month, you may not make more than three withdrawals or transfers to another credit union account of yours or to a third party by means of a pre-authorized or automatic transfer or telephone order or instruction. No more than three withdrawls be made by check, draft or electronic means, if applicable, or similar order to a third party. If you exceed these limitations, your account may be subject to applicable fees. There will be no checks for this account. For current service fee charges see the fee schedule.

Club Accounts

Holiday Savings Account

To Open a Holiday Savings Account, you must make an initial deposit of $25.00. You will earn the annual percentage yield disclosed on your average daily if your balance is $100.00 or greater. There are no minimum balance charges on this type of account.

Certificate of Deposit Accounts

To open a Certificate of Deposit Account you must deposit the minimum amount required that is associated with the certificate term desired.

Once your account is established you may not make any additional deposits into the account during the elected term. If the account is closed or any of the principal amount is withdrawn before maturity date the credit union will impose a penalty. A penalty of (3) three months interest will be imposed on a (6) month term certificate and a penalty of (6) months interest will be imposed on a certificate with a term of (12) twelve months or more.

Nature of Dividends

Dividends are paid from income and available earnings, after required transfers to reserves at the end of a dividend period.

Common Features

You must complete payment of $25.00 in your Share Savings account as a condition of admission to membership. If your balance in your Share account falls below $25.00 and you do not increase the balance to at least $25.00 within 30 days of the reduction, you may be terminated from membership.

Transaction Limitation

Except for checking accounts, we reserve the right to require a member intending to make a withdrawal to give written notice of such intent no less than seven days and up to thirty days before any such withdrawal.

Any fees and charges applicable to your account are disclosed separately in the "Rate and Fee Schedule" provided in conjunction with these account disclosures and agreements.
